traffic calming

We the undersigned support the petition demanding increased traffic calming measures for Swan lane ,Brierley Hill.
This is a main feeder road between two very busy roads, Brierley hill road and Hawbush road and is used as a cut through route to Brettell Lane by mixed traffic vehicles which includes business traffic.
Swan lane has a high number of elderly and disabled residents who need to be able to negotiate their way around the estate safely and with the limited calming infrastructure there it is becoming a hazardous task.
Whilst recognizing the limitations the canal bridge gives to traffic cushions being installed, we believe this should not be a reason not to introduce them to other parts of the road.
We request a zebra/pelican crossing for the disabled, infirm and families to use to enable them to use the buses and get to the nearby school.
