Give Lesbian Art Teacher Her Job Back

In September, Charlotte Anderson Elementary art teacher Stacy Bailey was suspended from her job after a parent complained that Bailey had shared with her class that she has a wife.

The school district has defended the indefinite administrative leave because it considers it "inappropriate" for Bailey to bring up sexual orientation to young children.

Acknowledging that gay people exist or that she herself is a gay person is not some manipulative part of a "gay agenda." Bailey is a respected member of the community who has twice - as recently as 2017 - won the school's teacher of the year award.

We call on Charlotte Anderson Elementary to end the suspension and put Bailey back in the classroom.
