We the undersigned wish to object in the strongest possible terms to the Planning Application (DM/15/3448) for the erection of 99 Homes at the Gamblemead Site within the Green Belt area on the Southern Edge of Haywards Heath as being totally unsuitable for such development.
Being at perhaps the lowest point of our Town where uniquely two significant water courses converge (namely the Ouse and Adur) with a very high water table that regularly floods it has consistently been refused any form of development on numerous occasions in the past. Apart from the obvious visual impact upon scores of local residents already reeling from four other major development sites nearby this area is redolent of times past and the site of ancient woodland , homes and medieval common land, in addition to a wide species of wild animals, birds (both native and visitors), returning Bats and insect life.
