Please Do More to Educate the Public About Climate Change

Lots of people watch The Weather Channel and trust its contributors. Climate change is very real, and has already begun to affect our lives through droughts and rising sea levels. The personnel of The Weather Channel should do more to educate its viewership about the realities of climate change, its likely effects, and what we can do about it, as well as how human activity impacts weather and climate. Instead of following prospectors in search of rare and valuable mineral deposits, TWC should be discussing our planet's changing climate and weather patterns.

We the undersigned ask that you do more to educate the public about climate change - how it is real, how it is affecting the environment and human society, and what we need to do in order to prepare. Instead of shows about prospectors hunting valuable minerals, you should broadcast programs that feature reputable scientists discussing our changing climate and weather patterns, as well as the likely results - and how individuals, organizations and countries can plan for what is coming.
