Dear King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand and Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra,

Please accept our signatures, as a protest against the cruel practices employed by many, in order to train elephant for the tourism trade.

I am sure that as a country reliant on tourism, you would like only the best animal welfare for your animals. I draw your interest to this petition, in order for you to make clear, that animal cruelty will not be tolerated.

There are amazing elephant Sanctuary's in Thailand, which are an asset to your country and offering tourists the chance to care for these gentle giants, is a wonderful way to please all sides.

I look forward to hearing of any changes that you insist upon in your wonderful, beautiful country, of which this issue is sullying.

Thank you for signing this petition against the barbaric treatment and 'training' of defenceless elephants, used in Thailand. It is cruelty beyond words. We are at 1,046 signatures. That is such a great start and thanks is due, to each and everyone of you, who has cared enough to put their name.
Please could I trouble you, to spread the link of the petition on blogs, Facebook, Twitter, email etc. together we can make a difference.
Thank you again!
Maureen x
