stop unavailing standardized testing!

Florida spends 1.7 billion on testing each year! for what? for a tests that shows no gain in student achievement? to waste money that we could put towards textbooks, teacher pay, school safety, ECT. not to mention that these test have no controlled variable, the questions are not the same, so how do you compare one test to a different one and give a grade on it when one might be easier to one person than the other test. furthermore standardized testing takes up about 25 to 30 hours a year out of the classroom. this is time we could be spending in the classroom. once again standardized tests show no improvement in students grades. but it does show a raise in stress not only in the students but the teachers as well
