Removing/Redusing the use ofIXL from the CDS curriculum

IXL is currently at the forefront of teaching at CDS. This method of online learning is ineffective, for the average student spends over an hour learning one skill at most. It is understood IXL is easy to assign, for no work is to be prepared by the teacher, but if truly meant to teach us the skills at hand, this is not the way to go. Students find a disturbing amount of stress behind this website, because it lacks a reward system for our age group, and does not credit you for your time and ridiculous amount of attempts. Although possibly being a great tool for many schools, we feel this does not align with the IB thinking because of its use of repition, and lack of diversity when trying to teach a skill set. We thank you for reading this message, and hope you sign at only the cost of your time.
