Tell Congress: Make the Clean Energy Commitment

According to a recent YouGov poll, 4 out of 5 Americans support a common-sense approach to clean energy. But partisanship and politics are blocking the critical action that we want.

That's why we've joined with a group of organizations from across the political spectrum to call for a Clean Energy Commitment. We're demanding that our elected officials set aside political differences and do what's right: for our country, for our future, and for our environment.

Take Action: Tell your members of Congress you're ready for a clean energy future—and you expect them to make a commitment.

Dear [Decision maker],

I am writing today in support of groups across the political spectrum--representing millions of parents, young Americans, environmentalists, hunters and anglers, and national security experts--in calling for a Clean Energy Commitment from elected officials like you.

The tenets of the commitment are simple, stating that:

*Companies that contribute to carbon pollution should be responsible for its impacts.
*Taxpayers should not be subsidizing the energy sources of the past.
*And everyone should have the freedom to choose clean, affordable energy.

According to a recent YouGov poll, these common-sense solutions are supported by 67% of Republicans, 75% of Independents, and 95% of Democrats. Americans are ready for a clean energy future.

Please support the Clean Energy Commitment, and work to make these priorities a reality. (More details can be found at www.cleanenergycommitment.org)
