Tell Congress - Don't Give Away Our National Forests

We all own America's National Forests and federal public lands. We watch wildlife in these great places. We hike and camp. And we connect with the natural beauty that helps make this land great. But that could soon change.

The chairman of the powerful House Natural Resources Committee, Representative Rob Bishop (R-UT), is urging Congress to hand over National Forests and other lands to states.

It's a move that would almost certainly result in reduced public access and the sale of our shared wild spaces to oil, gas, timber, and mining interests as cash-strapped states struggle to manage National Forests and other public lands now overseen and protected by the federal government.

Speak out for our great wild places! Urge your US Representative to reject the Bishop public lands giveaway proposal.

Dear [Decision maker],

I strongly urge you to OPPOSE House Natural Resources Chairman Congressman Rob Bishop's proposal to transfer our National Forests and other federal public lands to state control.

Such a no-strings-attached transfer would almost certainly result in reduced public access and the sale of our shared wild spaces to oil, gas, timber, and mining interests as cash-strapped states struggle to manage National Forests and other public lands now overseen and protected by the federal government.

We all own America's National Forests and federal public lands. Please ensure that these areas are safeguarded for future generations by opposing Congressman Bishop's federal lands transfer scheme.

Sincerely,
