Whales are sensitive animals with a highly developed social behavior.
The most hunted whale species are now threatened in their existence.
With some big whale kinds the populations were exploited up to the edge of the eradication.
Today they are strongly decimated, because an increase is possible only slowly.

The Atlantic and the Korean grey whale were already exterminated completely, the Atlantic north caper counts even about 300 to 600 animals today, the blue whale's continuance amounts to maximum 14,000 animals.
