Stop the Coal Rush Rip Off, Start the Clean Energy Revolution

President Obama's nomination of Ms. Sally Jewell to head the U.S. Department of Interior presents a critical opportunity to stop an impending environmental catastrophe.

Right now, Peabody and Arch -- two of the world's largest coal companies -- are trying to get approval for more than 8 billion tons of new strip mining in the Powder River Basin in Wyoming and Montana. If approved this massive project would fuel more than 200 dirty coal-fired power plants in the U.S. for decades, and threaten to fuel a coal export market that could push our climate beyond the point of no return. This would worsen the climate crisis and block renewable energy.

Thankfully before these coal plans commence, they have to be approved by the U.S. Department of Interior. Ms. Jewell holds the key to saying "no" to coal and "yes" to clean energy.

Join us and pledge your support for a clean energy revolution that puts our health, our climate, and our future first.
