The Senate is considering the Moving Forward Act to help our country recover from the COVID-19 economic crisis.

If passed, the bill would help families—and schools—benefit from clean, solar energy.

The Moving Forward Act:

Expands access to solar, creating grant programs to help low-income homeowners, residents of multi-family affordable housing, and individuals who are under-served

Helps schools reduce their energy costs through energy efficiency programs and renewable energy improvement grants.
Invests in a modernized electric grid to ensure that our power system can efficiently deliver the additional electricity supplied by renewable energy sources.
Safeguards the solar tax credit by extending the federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC), which is slated to decrease in 2021 and be eliminated in 2022.
