Sign our petition to ensure disabled people are at the heart of the UK’s inquiry into Covid-19

Hi, I'm Emma.  I'm deafblind and work for the disability charity, Sense.

6 out of 10 people who have died from COVID-19 are disabled.

This crisis has worsened existing inequalities and exposed new issues for disabled people. From difficulties accessing food and essentials to reduced care and support.

Next year there will be a public inquiry into the UK's handling of Covid-19, and we're asking you to sign our petition to ensure disabled people are at the heart of it.

We want to see:

  • A key section of the inquiry investigating the impact of Covid-19 on disabled people and their families, with them being invited to contribute evidence.

  • A panel leading the inquiry that is representative of disabled people

  • The inquiry to be run in an accessible way so that disabled people can participate and engage with it.

The inquiry can help us better understand and address the needs of disabled people.

Sign our petition and help make sure the voice of disabled people and their families are heard at the inquiry.

Thanks for reading,

Emma at Sense.
