Big Banks: Time to Stop Destroying the Planet

The largest financial institutions in the world, like Citi, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America, sure talk the good talk when it comes to 'corporate responsibility' and 'sustainability.'

But when it comes time to live up to those statements? These big banks have a long way to go before they can truly be 'responsible.'

That's because the largest banks still invest billions in dirty energy like tar sands removal and hydraulic fracturing. These extreme extractive processes help fuel climate change, and destroy habitat for important endangered species - not to mention the danger to livelihoods and ecosystems from dangerous spills and accidents.

It's time for these banks to align their actions with their grandiose statements. Take action today and sign this action calling on major financial institutions to cease lending to extreme energy extractors!
