Stop the Pheasant shooting

Please sign to help us end this barbaric blood sport
Pheasant rearing and shooting is a multi-million pound business in Britain that subjects around 35 million pheasants annually to the rigours of intensive farming and kills a large number of wild birds and mammals in "predator control" programmes. The artificially reared pheasants are subjected to painful mutilations and are administered a variety of pharmaceuticals in an attempt to combat stress and disease that inevitably result from such conditions. As the shooting press has acknowledged, millions of birds are shot purely for sport rather than for the dinner table. Some of buried in specially-dug holes or left to rot where they fall.
