On March 6, 2001, the Idaho House of Representatives passed House Joint Memorial Bill 5 demanding that "wolf recovery efforts in Idaho be discontinued immediately" and that "wolves be removed by whatever means necessary." We, the citizens of the United States of America, place a value on the lives of all wildlife, including wolves.
Wolves are a natural part of a healthy eco-system. Idaho benefits from its image as a haven for wildlife, including wolves. We ask that the Governor veto bill HJM 005 because it is the ethical, moral and just action to take.
