Governor Cuomo: Repower New York with Renewable Energy Today!

Repowering New York with clean renewable energy is critical to combating climate change and reducing the frequency of severe storms like Superstorm Sandy.

The NY-Sun Initiative is repowering the state, by funding solar research and ensuring solar power is affordable for everyone. In 2012, the NY-Sun Initiative doubled the number of solar panels installed on people's roofs in New York State. And in 2013, the Initiative will double that number again - quadrupling the number of solar panels installed since 2011.

But the NY-Sun Initiative is due to end in two years. We must not stop now - this is a critical time to spark solar development and the green economy in New York. Governor Cuomo's proposed 10-year extension to the initiative is key to propelling New York State to a sustainable future.

Sign our petition, and thank Governor Cuomo for taking leadership in renewable energy and encourage him to extend the NY-Sun Initiative until 2023.
