Stop DTE Energy's $1Billion Gas Plant in Michigan

Michigan electric customers know that solar and wind power will help them save on power bills, create local jobs, and protect community health. So why is DTE moving MI backwards with plans to waste $1 billion on a gas plant? DTE, it's time to power up Michigan with clean energy. 

After years of innovation, clean, renewable energy like solar energy can power the grid more affordably than fossil fueled power plants. Solar power also creates more jobs, and reduces harmful pollution. Solar, wind and efficiency can power our grid, and will result in lower bills than fossil fuels, saving customers hundreds of millions of dollars.

DTE's gas plant proposal is not the best the company can do for its customers or for Michigan's future. Prioritizing renewable energy now could provide Michigan with an opportunity to lead in an emerging innovation economy.
