Longwood believes that its name recognition outweighs the health and personal concerns of its paying students. Help us let President Reveley we are NOT okay with this.

Accredited professors as well as concerned peers have notified that because of the decision to host the Vice Presidential Debate at a small farm-town school, many students will be negatively affected for the entirety of the fall 2016 semester. The decision that was made by Longwood University was clearly not fully discussed, because otherwise it would have been dismissed for simply lacking common morals.
For the entirety of the fall 2016 semester the hardworking, paying students that Longwood loves to flaunt will be deprived of their access to the student health center, fitness center, Willet gym, and other facilities. This is in addition to multiple professors being kicked out of their offices and classrooms to instruct fitness and exercise science classes at the local lumbar yard. Furthermore, the university is planning to allow the media and anyone else associated with this debate to live in the brand new student dorms scheduled to be finished in time for the start of the fall semester. I have not heard, however, the university's plan for housing the students who will not able to use these dormitories.
I am disgusted that Longwood has sunk to this level and that it places the health and concerns of students below the name and popularity of their precious school.
Please sign this petition if you agree that the university's decision is not morally right, and you would like the President and administration to rethink about the adjustments they plan to make for half of the 2016 school year.

To whomever it may concer,
