Brock University: Support Survivors and Demand Resignation from Professor Schimmelpenninck van der Oye

A history professor at Brock University, David Schimmelpenninck van der Oye, has two separate sexual allegations against him from former students. If true, these allegations undermine the safety and security of the students.

Because of the severity and number of allegations, Brock University must demand the resignation of this professor to give their students and community a sense of security and piece of mind. This action would show that they take sexual assault allegations seriously.

As someone who believes universities must be safe places for education, I ask that you demand the resignation of professor David Schimmelpenninck van der Oye due to the two separate sexual allegation against him. 


It is your duty to protect students and community, giving them a sense of security and piece of mind. Though the allegations are not proven, it would show your students and community that you take sexual allegations against staff seriously and provide a better learning environment for everyone.
