Stop the damage debt is doing to children

Children living in families struggling with debt are five times more likely to be unhappy than children in families without debt troubles, putting them at risk of developing mental health problems.

With some of the most vulnerable families in the country struggling to make ends meet, 2.4 million children are living in families who have fallen into problem debt. Millions more families are struggling to pay the bills, buy the basic essentials for their children, and stay out of debt.

Join us, and call for a 'breathing space' scheme to help families in debt. This would stop debts from increasing and allow families to tackle their debts in a manageable way, without visits from intimidating bailiffs.

Please sign this petition and call on the Government to give families breathing space to repay their debts, so children don't pay the price with their mental health.
