The media doesn't pay enough attention to the plight of Native American children.

For instance, did you know that nearly 52 percent of Native American children have been exposed to domestic violence? Or that their exposure to drug and alcohol abuse is increasing, and that gang activity is on the rise?

It's no wonder that Native American youth commit suicide at three times the national average for their age group. Something has to be done, and we believe the key to change is education.
