Demand Clean Car Standards Stay in Place!
Trump and acting EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler are trying to gut a critical environmental protection that saves families in America money AND saves lives.
The Obama administration put clean car standards in place to save families money at the pump; drive innovation in the American auto industry; and curb pollution from the transportation sector, which is now the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in our economy.
Now this administration wants to tear these standards to shreds. But we won't stand for it -- the health of our families, our communities, and our planet is on the line. As an LCV member, speak out today in favor of strong clean car standards!
As a consumer and an advocate for clean, healthy air, I am speaking out in support for the clean car standards and oppose any effort by the Trump administration to roll back this important climate policy.
Our clean car standards are achievable and working. They put more money in our pockets and reduce pollution that affects all people in America's health. We should keep moving forward, not backward. Please, keep these critical standards in place.
