City of Virginia Beach should relocate traffic sign and save Live Oaks

  • af: Nancy Dickerson

A new LARGE metal sign for motorist notifications has been placed by the City of Virginia Beach on the right side of Shore Dr., heading West, just past the entrance to the Park.  Due to the size of the sign, the City plans to cut down all trees (mainly Live Oaks....the City tree!) from the Park mailbox on the exit side of thte campground, all the way back to the sign.

This will totally change the face of the Park entrance, and remove stately Live Oaks.

Do not cut trees and destroy the Park entrance for the sake of a sign.  This sign needs to be moved to the median, where no trees will be threatened.
