Tell the Solomon Islands to Ban Logging Old Growth Forests to Save its Unique Wildlife from Extinction

  • af: Georgia B
  • mottagare: Manasseh Damukana Sogavare, Prime Minister of Solomon Islands

The old growth forests of the Solomon Islands and the unique wildlife that depend on the forests to survive are under threat from logging companies, according to a report on Mongabay.com

The old-growth forests located on the island of Nende in the Santa Cruz chain of the Solomon Islands are home to animals like the Santa Cruz shrikebill, which is found nowhere else on Earth.

Unless the Solomon Islands government takes action to stop the logging companies the forest and rare creatures like the Santa Cruz shrikebill could be lost forever. This cannot happen! Please sign and share the petition to tell the Solomon Islands government to ban the logging of old growth forests.
