Pennsylvanians, Demand Clean Water in our State!

Have you ever wondered how clean your water is? With the recent Flint, MI, water crisis making national news, people around the country are asking the same question and demanding that state agencies meet their obligations to ensure our water is clean.

In Pennsylvania, nearly 16,000 miles of our rivers and streams are polluted, and one of the biggest sources of this pollution is runoff from farm fields that contains animal waste. This run-off threatens our drinking water and makes many of our rivers and streams too dirty for fishing and swimming.

Pennsylvania has a constitutional obligation to reduce this pollution so we have clean water. And, with summer just around the corner, the time to ensure our water is clean enough for our families to enjoy is now!

Please join PennFuture and our partners in the Choose Clean Water Coalition to urge the state Departments of Environmental Protection and Agriculture to fulfill their obligations to reduce water pollution in Pennsylvania.
