We demand more responsible sourcing of wood fibres

According to WWF's study the forest policy of Metsa Tissue is vague and not sufficiently explicit in aiming to exclude illegal and controversial sources.
Dear Mikko Helander, President and CEO of Metsä Tissue
WWF compared five tissue giants (Georgia-Pacific, Kimberly-Clark, Metsa Tissue, Procter & Gamble, and SCA Tissue) and the results weren't too admirable. When studied whether or not tissue giants source their wood fibres responsibly Metsä Tissue scored only 18 % of the maximum score.
According to the study "Metsa Tissue and Procter and Gamble have committed to implementing a tracking mechanism from the forest to the product within a certain timeframe but they have yet to show details of these systems once developed, and also need to allow them to be third party audited".
We undersigned demand Metsä Tissue to immediately start sourcing its wood fibres in a more responsible manner.
