Ban deadly neonic insecticides!

The Canadian government refuses to ban neonicotinoid insecticides (otherwise known as neonics) despite overwhelming evidence that they kill bees and are also deadly to frogs, fish, birds and other wildlife.

Join the Green Party of Canada in our call to immediately move to ban the use of neonics in Canada!

We can't afford to risk our agriculturally important pollinators! Faced with rising threats to our food security, pollinators like bees are critical and biodiversity is more important than ever.

We need your help! Our petition calls on the Liberal government to follow the European Union's lead in eliminating this threat by moving to ban the use of neonics across Canada.

In the face of indisputable scientific evidence about the risks posed by neonics to our pollinators and ecosystems, the Liberal government is shamelessly caving to the pressures of big agriculture.

There are viable alternatives to neonics, and there is no excuse to keep using them. Sign our petition now demanding a ban on the use of these toxic chemicals!

Dear Minister Petitpas Taylor,

I call on the federal government to immediately move to ban the use of neonicotinoid insecticides (neonics) in Canada, due to the dire threat they pose to our pollinators.

The scientific evidence from around the world is  indisputable --  neonics pose a deadly threat to bees, frogs, fish, birds and other wildlife.

Since the agricultural sector already has viable alternatives to neonics, I urge you to address this serious threat to our ecosystems and our food security.

Please move to ban the use of neonics in Canada.
