My Parks, My Voice

Our state parks are an essential part of what makes California a great place to live. Over 65 million people each year enjoy the natural beauty, unique culture and history, and recreational and educational opportunities to be found in parks across the state.

State budget cuts in recent years threatened to close dozens of our parks. Thanks to people making their voices heard, the closures were averted — but there is still a $1.3 billion backlog of maintenance and conservation projects.

Take action today, and add your voice to call for state parks to always be a budget priority. Urge your lawmakers to support funding and legislation that will ensure these public treasures remain open for all to enjoy, now and for generations to come.
