GEEKS Comic-Cons: stop using animals for entertainment

GEEKS Comic-cons host a number of comic-con events up and down the country, attracting many visitors who share a love of comic books and all things geeky.

However, at their Geekabilia event on the 8th July this year, at the Lincoln show ground GEEKS had unfortunately hired a petting zoo.

These animals - including meerkats and snakes were kept in tiny and barren cages and containers, with no where to hide from the crowds of people, or anywhere to escape the noise.

These enterprises are cruel, unregulated and offer no educational experience to young children.

GEEK Comic- Cons need to commit to never using such enterprises again, for the sake of animal welfare and the attendees that are concerned about animal protection.
