Save the trees and the natural history of our community

WEBSTER TOWNSHIP, MI - More than 100 trees are expected to be cut down along a stretch of Mast Road north of the city of Dexter because drivers are going off the road and hitting them.

The Road Commission is planning to use federal safety grant funds to remove the trees along the roadway in Webster Township, saying the trees are too close to the road and pose a safety risk.

The trees in our area are part of our communities natural history and have many benefits. Some of the trees are believed to be 100 to 200 years old, please sign the petition to help find a better way to create a safe road way. Guard rails, lights, and reflects are better options than cutting down the beauty that we all enjoy.
