Over the next 100 days, the Biden administration will set their priorities for the next four years. We need to ensure ocean health is at the top of that list.
Join Ocean Conservancy in encouraging the Biden administration to focus on:
• acting on climate
• reducing plastic pollution and
• protecting the ocean's special places
Now, more than ever, we need strong advocates for the ocean. People who are willing to help preserve the fragile ecosystems we have, protect the ocean's resources that countless animals and communities rely on and defend critical policies that support sustainable fishing, ocean planning, coastal communities and more.
Protect the ocean
As an ocean advocate, I encourage you to focus on three main priorities: acting on climate, reducing plastic pollution and protecting the ocean's special places.

President Biden, you have the most comprehensive climate plan of any President to date. Please stay true to this promise. Climate change is the largest threat to our ocean and we are at a pivotal time for action.
Every year, 11 million metric tons of plastics enter our ocean on top of the estimated 150 million metric tons that currently circulate in our marine environments. In your first 100 days you must recognize the threat plastics pose to our ocean and our communities, and work with Congress to implement policies that reduce plastic production and keep plastic off of our beaches and out of our ocean.
From the air we breathe to the water we drink, our ocean gives to us in abundance every day. It's vital that we protect it, for our own health and for the well-being of future generations. Smart, science-forward legislation and research are crucial to ensure our ocean continues to thrive long into the future.
Step up and take action today. President Biden, the ocean needs your help.
