Ban plastic cutlery in Australia

Plastic cutlery is one of the most deadly plastics killing Australian sea turtles, birds and marine animals.

Europe has already moved to ban these killer plastics - so why hasn't Australia?

Sharp, highly likely to be contaminated, and commonly found in waterways, plastic knives and forks can cause serious injuries. Animals who eat the plastic pieces get internal injuries and poisoning, threatening their lives.

Less than half of plastic utensils thrown away are recycled. Already, more than half of all seabirds and turtles have plastic in their stomachs.

Earth safe alternatives already exist - like bamboo or reusable cutlery. It's time for action.
