The Government wants to scrap the Human Rights Act.

The Human Rights Act enables everyone in the UK to stand up for our rights when public authorities – like the Government and local councils – fall short.

No matter who we are – soldiers, LGBT+ people, disabled people, workers, children – the Human Rights Act protects us from misuse of power.

But the Government's plans will create categories of people who 'deserve' human rights and others who don't, and will make it much harder for everyone to get to court and see justice when our rights are abused.

The only people who benefit from weakening human rights are those in power, and this is yet another attempt by the Government to hide from accountability.

We are building a mass campaign to stop this power grab.

Sign the petition to demand the Justice Secretary abandon his plans and safeguard our Human Rights Act instead.
