The Raccoons is a cult classic cartoon, it's hard to ignore that the cartoon has a great fanbase but although not as nutzo as say those of say Naruto, Jonas Brothers or Twilight but they are VERY loyal going so far as the official plushies are now like a black friday type of hunt on eBay
Nowadays, The Raccoons is nowhere to be seen on American TV and only Europe (currently, Boomerang Poland) and Canada (The Raccoons' home country) is airing this cartoon
This petition goes beyond bringing the cartoon back on US TV
(even though they WILL be reruns), It will also demand more merchandise for the fans of this cartoons (i.e. plushies, DVDs/Blu Ray Discs)

This may sound silly at first but believe it or not, there ARE fans of The Raccoons in the United States and they are slowly growing due to interest via showings on YouTube, all we ask is not only bring this great cartoon back to american shores (in anyway shape or form) but also up the ante on the grounds of merchandising of which you gimped on during the cartoon's heyday years which is during the 4 specials and the series itself.
Please understand that the cartoon put Canadian animation into the mainstream and made Bert Raccoon more famous than Dan Aykroyd (in Ottowa), without this we won't see the Care Bears animated series nor the then-popular Beetlejuice cartoon (though both Nelvana produced, you get the general idea!)
Sadly, The Canadian animation industry's quality has dwindled very rapid recently seeing that the only decent cartoon these days from Canada was Nelvana's My Friend Rabbit cartoon for Treehouse (Canada) and Qubo (US).
That said, I hope you understand that The Raccoons will likely to get repention in the US if you play the cards right like say let Boomerang (US) air the series and the specials or better yet put the whole "The Raccoons" package (Specials and all) on YouTube in their entirety
