Credit Bureau's can ruin your credit without justification

An unjust change in faulty reporting such as, identity fraud, can ruin your credit score in 30 days. Then start a "domino" score reduction that will get out of control before you can discover it, then take months and even years to correct. Example: a collections account appears on your report, that is not yours. Your creditors review your report periodically. It is noted and your credit limits are reduced to a few dollars above the current balance. Other creditors then follow suit, within no time, all of your credit cards or charge accounts look maxed out. Your score plummets drastically...Then, the creditors begin changing your apr (interest rate), because it appears you have just maxed out your credit.
By the time this disaster is discovered, your score has been ruined, your interest rates have increased and all payments are ridiculous.
Even though police reports are filed, and you may actually get to speak with a human at the credit bureau, creditors, etc;  The outcome is a nightmare, and could take a very long time to correct. Simular to a bankruptcy in fact. Your score is ruined for a very long time, either way...
The credit bureas have too much authority to change an individuals credit worthiness in a matter of days. While it takes an act of congress, trying to talk to a human, dozens of forms and letters and months to rectify the situation, if in fact ever...many people just give up and "start over". Perhaps a 90 day regulation for researching negative reporting should be introduced
If an individual has a "good score" and suddenly something upsets this "good Score" Is it not the Credit Bureau that should noitify the individual? Not everyone has the time or money to monitor their credit for the fees the credit bureas require. By the time an individual gets his or her once a year freeby, they could be devastated.
Lets put the brakes on unjustified or false credit reporting.  By the way, this will affect your pets also...
