US Secretary of Defense (and former CIA Director) Leon Panetta recently stated that military aggression against Iran is NOT off the table. All signs are pointing to a war on Iran, as the new economic sanctions begin to cripple the country, leaving Iran even more isolated and vulnerable to attack by US and Israeli overt and covert operations.
Iran is not the enemy, and neither are its 70+ million people. It is a historic and culturally rich nation, and one of the safest countries in the Middle East -- a region now engulfed by war and instability, with wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, fighting and drone attacks in Pakistan, unrest and brutal oppression in Bahrain and Palestine, and billions of dollars in weapon sales to Saudi Arabia and Israel brokered by the US government.
Tell the Obama Administration and Congress to stop interfering with this sovereign nation, and to redirect its efforts to helping people at home, especially military veterans who are returning to the USA and finding little help in dealing with their post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and unemployment.
