Derrick Brown and his mom were the victims of horrific domestic violence. Derrick moved west to escape the shadow it cast over his life. Through no fault of his own, he is now denied the chance to play the sport he loves because of a coach's kind act. The principals of the league didn't even allow him or the coach to testify.
