No Horse Slaughter for America

We the undersigned do not want horse slaughter plants opened in the USA nor do we want to eat horse meat.  LB305 was introduced in the Nebraska Legislature by Sen. Tyson Larson who wants Nebraska to allow slaughter houses to be built there for killing of horses, elk, ostriches & bison.  The bill is calling for a new meat inspection agency which would be a precursor to the slaughter facilities.  Slaughter houses for horses have been banned in the U.S. since 2007.  If slaughter is allowed in NE, it would add to the deplorable plight of the wild horses of the West & other horses all over the country.  Not many Americans want to eat horse meat, so the meat would be sent overseas for consumption.  We who have signed do not want anyone eating our horses.
