We, the undersigned, support the County's goal to provide more beach access at Clam Pass Park, but We oppose the current plans that would degrade this serene NATURAL RESOURCE PROTECTION AREA with significant construction in undisturbed mangrove habitat, dredging out the ebb shoal, installing channel markers, or otherwise altering its shallow three bay system.

PETITION: SAVE CLAM BAY WETLANDS - KEEP IT NATURAL

Update #1vor 10 Jahren

Thanks to all petitioners for "Save Clam Bay"and strong advocacy by Conservation NGOs, our combined efforts thwarted attempts to install a navigation channel for powerboats through Clam Bay. But, advocacy for this special place is never done because schemers never stop trying to misuse natural resources. The latest bad proposed is to convert a roadway into a bridge -which would create open water impacts between two VERY different waterbodies.
