Obama recently on Youtube stated he will not choose between the economy and the environment. The title of the video is "President Obama Speaks at Conference on Conservation. He will restore grasslands, wetlands and wildlife habitat. He is not only protecting the environment by doing so, he is making it possible to have more land to hunt, fish, etc. He is supporting an outdoor economy that reinforces more than 9 million jobs, and brings in more than a trillion dollars a year.
He is also making it easier for people from foreign countries to visit America. This isn't just boosting tourism, but letting people discover our country. More tourism means more people renting cars, staying in hotels, eating at restaurants, etc. Therefore, growing the economy and putting more people back to work.
He will also try to lower gas prices and developing new sources of American made energy. He will also have a sustained strategy of solar power, wind power, biofuel, and more. Because of the investments he has made, the amount of renewable energy has nearly doubled since 2010.
Obama announced that he is allowing the development of enough clean energy on public land to power 3 million homes, which protects our environment and it helps families and American businesses save money.
