Save the Concession Stands - Pole Green Park, Courthouse Park, Poor Farm Park and Montpelier Park.

Hanover County Parks and Rec have cancelled contracts for Concessionaires in all County parks effective November 2015. The plan is to operate concessions as a snack bar only selling pre-packaged items such as chips, candy and drinks. Concessions will no longer be open during the week operating only on the weekends. In addition they plan to bring expensive food trucks into the park for larger events only as they deem necessary. Our goal with this petition is to bring awareness to the patrons of these beautiful parks that we frequent with our families and to support the concessionaires that worked closely with all the leagues (youth football, adult football, cheer leading, soccer, rugby, lacrosse, softball, youth baseball, etc). The decision made by Greg Sager to remove the concessionaires from the parks was NOT made with the best interest of the patrons in mind but merely for personal reasons. Please help support our efforts to reinstate the contracts by signing this petition. In doing so you are showing support of the concessionaires, their excellent variety of food and their great personal service to the community and the parks.
