On Monday May 18th, The Dutch Kennel Club placed drastic restrictions on the future breeding of brachycephalic (broad-headed) breeds.
The Dutch Kennel Club is even threatening fines for breeders that still choose to adhere to the KC or FCI Official Breed Standards.
These are historic and unique breeds being targetted.
The potential reprocussions for other jurisdictions are great as Animal Rights Activists continue their war against the ownership of companion animals.
The UK, Canada, and The United States already have comprehensive Health Schemes in place for the betterment of breeding programs and genetic testing is employed by responsible breeders.
Please stand for the preservation of these historic and unique breeds.
Please stand against those that choose to alter and pervert what they do not understand.
In addition to the Bulldog, other breeds currently targetted include: the Affenpinscher, Boston terrier, Griffon Belge, Griffon Bruxellois, Pug, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, French bulldog, Japanese Chin, Pekingese, Petit Brabancon, Shih Tzu.
