A Better Life For Dolphins Of Barcelo Resort Rivera Maya

Barcelo has many property's in the Rivera Maya where they have at least 5 captive dolphins stuck living in what is a very large swimming pool, defiantly not big enough for five adult dolphins.This is not only cruel and unethical, but sets a terrible precedent for other major hotel chains to replicate this same business model. Dolphins are mammals. They live in pods with their family members and are often separated, they are one of the few other species that have sex for pleasure,like we do, They are highly intelligent and have even been employed by the military also exploitation as far as i am concerned.

Taking a dolphin from it's family or raising it in captivity for personal gain is no better than slavery. These are living, feeling, smart beings, and we must treat them as such. Upon my visitation to this property, I witnessed the dolphins swimming anxiously in circles all night, as well as attempting to beach themselves on the pavement. This was not only disturbing but a true testament to how the Barcelo hotel value's monetary gain over humanity. Sign this petition to let the executives of the Barcelo know that as humane and civilized individuals we simply won't stand for this! By signing this petition we are hoping to have the dolphins released back into the wild where the belong, or at the very least have the pens make much larger so many cubic meters per animal also a more sea like enclosure to mimic a reef. Also we have been told that the captive born dolphins would not know what to do in the wild, this is not true, if they can be trained for military drills, they can be rehabilitated back into the wild and the rest is instinct.
