Food Grade Nanomaterial Ban

This petition represents the banning of adding nanomaterials to food and beverage. Emphasis being on the measurement scale of 1 to 100 nanometers. Nanomaterials at this scale possess quantum properties that are dangerous for microorganisms and human consumption.
There is a sufficient body of studies, tests, and the fields of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology quantifying these physical effects.
Such properties exist in food grade nanoscale titanium dioxide.

Example 1:
Nanoscale titanium dioxide degrades biological matter and releases carbon dioxide and water

Example 2:
Food grade titanium dioxide has been used as a photocatalyst in a successful experiment to degrade crude oil from Deepwater Horizon

By the signing of this petition, We the People, demand that the FDA ban the importation and adding of any and all nanomaterials to food stuffs and beverage.
