Proposed Abbeyfield closure

Abbeyfield sheltered accommodation in Walmer, Kent, UK is likely to close in January 2020. It is run by a caring and dedicated staff who have built up good relationships with those in their care. There are 9 residents, mostly in their 90s, who are distressed, confused and worried about their uncertain future. We ask Abbeyfield to agree to keep the place open and make whatever arrangements are necessary to allow them to remain in what they consider to be their home.
