Empower Children with Legal Rights: no more Assault!

Every day children are beaten, whipped, tormented, even killed by adults-- because kids have no legal rights! Protect them by making all violence against children ASSAULT!
It wasn't long ago that men could legally beat and whip their wives. (The problem's not solved but neither is it legal and acceptable). Kids have no real defense against this form of assault! Let's make all violence against children illegal and give them the right to press charges against adults who abuse them... Including sexual abuse, but not excluding what we now think of as "punishment."
