Trans Student

Hello, my name is Nathan and I am a sixteen year old trans student. At the age of thirteen I realized I was transgender. I was lucky to have a small group of friends who supported me. They started calling me Nathan and using the correct pronouns.
      During my sophomore year I came out to my counselor. I asked to be called Nathan and she denied me saying it was illegal for them to call me anything but my birth name. But there are students at my school for example, Quinton his birthname name is William. Annie her birth name is Anna. Caleb's birth name also being William.
      This petition is to show her I am dedicated and I will do my Best to be called the correct name this year. I am not asking to use the male restroom I am asking to be called a name. A name that makes me feel comfortable and at peace with myself. So please sign this petition to help me change her mind.
