Say "No." to the No Dogs in Parks Law

A new enforcement in Church Hill, TN will disallow dogs from all city parks. This law will not only take away opportunities to get your dog out of the house and let it exercise but will force some people to leave their dogs locked/chained up 24/7. Instead, a simple enforcement would suffice (i.e.- put signs up that say "All Dogs Must Be on Leash" and/or have clean-up stations like they have at Warrior's Path Park in Kingsport or at Willow Springs Park in Johnson City). The mayor finds banning dogs "necessary to create a clean and healthy atmosphere for all park patrons", but I believe providing people with dog clean-up stations would do the same thing.
