My family and I keep six(6) chickens on our 0.21 acre plot of land, and Harford County laws make that illegal. Unfortunately, we didn't know this until it was too late. One day, we came back from an outing, and there was a door-tag stuck in our gate from "Harford County Department of Planning and Zoning" that claimed we were violating a law by keeping our chickens, or "livestock", as they put it. This happened yesterday, an we wanted to take immediate action, not only for ourselves, but for all FREE RANGE chicken and livestock owners facing the same situation. I believe that this law should be changed, so that on any zoning, the owner of the land can keep up to 5 free range chickens (roosters and hens) and 5 free range goats on at least 0.10 of an acre of land. And, up to 15 free range chickens (roosters and hens) and 10 free range goats on at least 0.20 of an acre of land. Please help end unfair ruling that's in favor of factory farms, and help end it NOW!!!
